PAINT CORRECTION?

Paint correction is the mechanical leveling of clear coat or paint (clear coat is unpigmented paint, clear) to a point where all the paint is free of swirl marks and light scratches.  Swirl marks are essentially a “V” cut/slice in the paint where light bounces around in the valley of the scratch and exits.  This is how you see the swirl marks. If the paint was flat, with no valley, you wouldn’t have anywhere for the light to bounce around...that is where paint correction shines the best.  

Our packages in the paint corrections are based on the last 15 years of experience in this field. 

Our 1 Step enhancement is designed for those looking for more gloss with a bit of swirl mark removal.  

Our 2 Step package is designed for those looking for a good amount of correction (removal of swirls and light scratches) and more gloss. This is our most popular package. 

Our 3 Step package includes a heavy compound step, a medium polish step, and fine final polish step.  This package is for those looking to really turn their car’s paint around and get your paint back to as close as perfection with about 90% to 95% correction.

Paint correction is a process that removes a safe amount of clear coat or paint through mechanical abrasion using various types of machine polishers. Scratches, holograms, swirls, buffer trails and micro marring can be removed from paintwork permanently. We do not use fillers or sealants in our paint correction services.

STAGE 1 PAINT CORRECTION

STAGE 1 IS AN ENTRY LEVEL CORRECTION THOSE WHO ARE LOOKING TO RESTORE GLOSS AND SHINE WHILE ALSO REMOVING VERY MINOR IMPERFECTIONS SUCH AS LIGHT SWIRLS OR HAZING. AFTER THE PROCESS IS COMPLETE WE APPLY A SILICA SI02 SEALANT THAT CAN LAST UP TO 6-9 MONTHS DEPENDING ON AFTERCARE MAINTENANCE, WEATHER AND STORAGE OF THE VEHICLE.

STAGE 2 PAINT CORRECTION

STAGE 2 PAINT CORRECTION IS A MORE OPTED SERVICE AS IT CONTAINS TWO LEVELS OF CORRECTION TO FURTHER REMOVE HEAVIER DEFECTS SUCH AS MODERATE SWIRLS, CARWASH SWIRLS, HOLOGRAMS AND MIRCO MARRING THAT A STAGE 1 CORRECTION CAN NOT REMOVE. AFTER THE PROCESS IS COMPLETE WE APPLY A SILICA SI02 SEALANT THAT CAN LAST UP TO 6-9 MONTHS DEPENDING ON AFTERCARE MAINTENANCE, WEATHER AND STORAGE OF THE VEHICLE.

THIS STAGE CAN BE PAIRED WITH ONE OF OUR SYSTEM X CERAMIC COATINGS FOR AN ADDITIONAL PRICE.

STAGE 3 PAINT CORRECTION

STAGE 3 PAINT CORRECTION IS MORE FOR VEHICLES THAT HAVE BEEN NEGLECTED OR NOT PROPERLY MAINTAINED RESULTING IN HEAVIER DEFECTS AND IMPERFECTIONS. STAGE 3 CORRECTION IS 2-3 LEVELS OF CORRECTION AND SMALL WET-SANDING (IF NECESSARY) OF AREAS TO REMOVE HEAVY SWIRL MARKS, HOLOGRAMS, LIGHT TO MEDIUM SCRATCHES, BUFFER TRAILS AND LIGHT WATER SPOT ETCHINGS. AFTER THIS PACKAGE WE RECOMMEND PAIRING THE VEHICLE WITH ONE OF OUR SYSTEM X CERAMIC COATINGS TO LOCK IN THE RESULTS FOR YEARS TO COME. OUR RESIN BASED CERAMIC COATINGS ALSO PROVIDE A HARDER LAYER OF PROTECTION OVER THE FACTORY CLEAR COAT TO GIVE YOU A DEEPER, GLOSSIER RESULT. THIS WILL MAKE MAINTAINING YOUR VEHICLE EASIER AND HELP RESIST LIGHT SWIRLING FROM HAND WASHING.

STAGE 4 PAINT CORRECTION

IF YOUR LOOKING FOR THAT SHOWROOM CORRECTION THIS IS FOR YOU. THIS STAGE OFFERS UP TO 6 LEVELS OF CORRECTION TO REMOVE ALL IMPERFECTIONS FROM YOUR VEHICLES PAINT. AFTER THIS PACKAGE WE PAIR THE VEHICLE WITH ONE OF OUR SYSTEM X CERAMIC COATINGS TO LOCK IN THE RESULTS FOR YEARS TO COME. OUR RESIN BASED CERAMIC COATINGS ALSO PROVIDE A HARDER LAYER OF PROTECTION OVER THE FACTORY CLEAR COAT TO GIVE YOU A DEEPER, GLOSSIER RESULT. WETSANDING

STEP 1.

OUR VEHICLE PREP/WASH PROCESS

1. MULTI-STEP HAND WASH

  • PRE-RINSE TO REMOVE DIRT AND ROAD GRIME

  • PRE-SOAK WITH FOAM TO LOOSEN EMBEDED CONTAMINATION

  • WHEELS, WHEEL BARRELS, TIRES AND FENDERLINERS THROUGHLY CLEANED WITH VARIOUS TYPES WHEEL BRUSHES

  • ENGINE BAY, DOOR JAMBS, TRUNK/ HATCH, TRUCK BED AND GAS CAP SAFLEY WASHED AND OR DEGREASED/ STEAM CLEANED IF NECESSARY.

  • TWO BUCKET HAND WASH METHOD WITH SEPARATE MICROFIBER MITTS FOR EACH ZONE FOR A SWIRL FREE FINISH

2. PAINT DECONTAMINATION

IRON-X OR DECONTAMINATION REMOVER IS THE PROCESS TO REMOVE IRON (lll)OXIDE PARTICLES FROM A SURFACE WITHOUT HAVING TO REMOVE THEM MECHANICALLY.

  • AFTER MULTI-STEP WASH IS PERFORMED IRON-X IS APPLIED TO ALL PAINTED SURFACES AND ALLOWED TO DWELL FOR 3-5 MINUTES

  • RINSE THOROUGHLY

  • CLAY BAR IS USED TO FURTHER REMOVE FERROUS CONTAIMINATES FROM PAINT AND GLASS THAT WERE UNABLE TO BE REMOVED DURING THE DECON TREATMENT.

3. VEHICLE DRY AND PREP

  • VEHICLE IS DRIED USING AIR AND APPROPRIATE MICROFIBER DRYING TOWELS

  • AIR IS BLOWN INTO CRACKS AND CREVICES TO REMOVE EXCESS WATER

  • PLASTIC TRIM, RUBBER, VENTS, SPLITTERS, WINDOW VISORS AND AFTERMARKET PARTS ARE MASKED OFF TO PREVENT DAMAGE

  • PAINT IS MEASURED USING A PAINT DEPTH GAUGE METER AND ACCESSED FOR DAMAGES

  • AFTER PAINT HAS BEEN MEASURED AND DAMAGES HAVE BEEN NOTED, PAINT IS NOW CORRECTED THROUGH ONE OF OUR CORRECTION LEVELS.

5-A. SEALANTS

  • A SILICA SEALANT IS APPLIED TO THE PAINT AND WHEELS LASTING UP TO 6-9 MONTHS

  • TAPE IS REMOVED FROM ALL SURFACES

  • TIRE DRESSING APPLIED TO ALL TIRES

  • EXTERIOR PLASTICS ARE SHINED AND PROTECTED

5-B. CERAMIC COATING

  • VEHICLE IS ALCOHOL PREPED AND WIPED TO UNSURE ALL WAXES AND POLISHES ARE REMOVED FOR A CLEAN SURFACE

  • TAPE IS REMOVED FROM ALL SURFACES

  • CERAMIC COATING IS APPLIED TO ALL PAINTED SURFACES

  • WHEELS COATED

  • WINDOWS COATED

  • PLASTICS COATED

  • WINDOWS INSIDE AND OUT CLEANED

  • TIRE DRESSING APPLIED TO ALL TIRES

YOUR VEHICLE WILL NEED TO BE CLEANED INSIDE AND OUT METICULOUSLY DURING ITS LIFE SO WHY NOT MAKE IT EASIER TO MAINTAIN?
